8th Annual Future Justice and Corrections Summit

The Future Justice and Correction Summit has finalized their agenda for the conference and I will be presenting with Sonia Brown-Diaz and Joseph Tonu. I am honored to represent Pridon Yoga Project at this event.

The day will end with a session to be offered to Judges throughout New South Wales on Domestic Violence titled  “ Lessons learned from incarcerated domestic violence survivors: understanding the dynamics of domestic violence and trauma informed systemic responses to increase equity and justice.” The emphasis is better judicial recognition of the issue complexity of the issue in the hopes of increasing safety for victims in their children and accountability for batterers.  Sharing the voices of countless people I’ve met for the sessions at the department of corrections as a way for judges to develop a deeper understanding of the issues involved. Thank you to the judicial commission of New South Wales for organizing I’m very short notice this opportunity to present this information to judges and magistrates along with their staffs.
